Tomorrowland Belgium takes place at De Schorre in Boom across two weekends each summer. Across the festival, Love Tomorrow runs a programme across five pillars: Responsibility, Nature, Innovation, Health, and Respect. Each pillar is translated into concrete actions, measured where possible, and built on from previous editions.

Here's a look at what that means in practice.

RESPONSIBILITY

Circular economy and waste

Recycling and cleaning operations run throughout the entire festival. More than 70 recycling volunteers walk across Tomorrowland and DreamVille with Recycling Backpacks, making recycling accessible everywhere. Over 500 volunteers work in dedicated recycling teams. The site counts over 1,300 bins for visitors and another 1,000 backstage, with more than 1,400 recycling bins across DreamVille. Over 15 waste streams are defined, sorted, and recycled.

The Recycle Club

The Recycle Club is a dedicated space at DreamVille, located between The Market Place and The Gym, where visitors drop off recyclables and are rewarded for doing so correctly. A unique Love Tomorrow patch is available as a keepsake of the DreamVille stay. Visitors who earn the title of Recycling Hero can win a moving service: Love Tomorrow's Magnificent Cleaning Team transports all camping gear to DreamVille's exit on departure day.

New for 2026, the Recycle Club 2.0 introduces a "Leave No Trace" focus on camping gear and tents. Visitors can rent or buy large Love Tomorrow tote bags to transport gear, or use bolder cars to move equipment to buses or their destination.

Patches

Love Tomorrow Patches are handed out across the festival as recognition for visitors who leave their spot clean, sort waste correctly, or contribute to keeping DreamVille in better shape than they found it. New for 2026, patches can also serve as functional repair patches for gear. The Magnificent Cleaning Team moves through every zone of DreamVille, awarding patches to visitors with well-kept camping areas or those actively recycling. They also educate festival-goers on recycling locations and proper waste disposal throughout the weekend.

Smart Cups

Reusable cups are in use at both Tomorrowland and DreamVille. Each cup carries an RFID-chip linked to the visitor's bracelet or cashless card at the moment of purchase. Returning the cup at any station immediately refunds the deposit, with no token and no queue. A fully Belgian innovation designed to keep circularity straightforward at festival scale.

NATURE

Water

By 2030, Love Tomorrow aims to reduce blue water consumption by 50% compared to 2019 levels of 20 million liters of water. Thanks to smart metering, reuse strategies, and crew education, the festival is already on track, with a reduction of 7 million litres already recorded.

Smart water meters are installed at both Tomorrowland and DreamVille to monitor usage in real time throughout the festival period. Pond water is used for all magic mist installations across the site. Twenty water taps are available across the grounds for crew use, reducing the need for single-use plastic bottles. All crew are encouraged to bring reusable bottles. Black water from the site is transported by DSSV to Aquafin, where it is treated and purified so that wastewater can be reused. New for 2026: waterless toilets from When Nature Calls are installed at the Camp2Camp zone as an additional measure to reduce water consumption.

Energy

Since 2025, all on-site operations and machinery at Tomorrowland operate fully on HVO100 (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), with the support of Comfort Energy. This represents a complete ban on fossil fuels and an estimated 80–90% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to conventional diesel. In 2025, 52% of the festival was connected to the local fixed power network, and this connection continues in 2026. At DreamVille, battery packs return alongside a new 500 kWh battery installation providing additional green energy for the crew campsite. A longer-term energy plan blending solar, battery systems, and the existing grid is being developed for future editions.

Mobility

Mobility accounts for over 70% of Love Tomorrow's carbon footprint at Tomorrowland. With the support of Brussels Airlines, Sustainable Aviation Fuel has been the standard across all Global Journey packages since 2023. For 2026, all Tomorrowland Party Flights operate on 100% SAF. All other Global Journey flights operate on 30% SAF, up from 25% in 2025. In 2025, the use of SAF resulted in a 25% reduction in emissions allocated to all plane transport, equivalent to a reduction of 916 tonnes of CO₂e.

A new mobility contest invites visitors to choose the most sustainable route to the festival. By logging their journey, participants can earn rewards for travelling by train, shared transport, bike, or other low-impact options.

Land use and biodiversity

A full biodiversity analysis of the festival grounds is underway, mapping the flora, fauna, and habitats present in and around De Schorre. The findings will inform how the site is used, protected, and restored across future editions, with measurable indicators tracked over time.

INNOVATION

Special effects

Only biodegradable confetti and streamers are used for special effects throughout the festival. The MainStage's smoke effects are delivered by ECOJET, replacing conventional CO₂ jets. The ECO2JET system creates powerful smoke effects without relying on CO₂ gas bottles.

Love Tomorrow Summit

Love Tomorrow Summit takes place on 23 July 2026 at Tomorrowland's grounds in De Schorre, Boom. The Summit unites the brightest minds: thinkers, entrepreneurs, music artists, and leaders, to explore the future of intelligence. Keynotes span six themes: Impact Entrepreneurship, Nature, Health and Mindfulness, Science and Technology, Socio-Economic, and Entertainment. The day ends with live music from renowned artists at one of Tomorrowland's iconic stages.

The Impact Circle

The Impact Circle runs from 22 to 24 July across Boom and Brussels. An invitation-only event bringing together Europe's top startups, pioneering investors, and leading corporates. In 2026, The Impact Circle includes project challenges developed in collaboration with IMEC and DealFlow, alongside challenges set together with the European Space Agency, focused on materials and energy.

HEALTH

Move to Happiness

Move to Happiness returns to DreamVille as the festival's dedicated space for movement and recovery. The 2,500 m² sanctuary hosts group workouts, boxing, power training, recharge yoga, meditation, and mindfulness sessions. New for 2026: HYROX sessions in collaboration with adidas, alongside forest yoga, tennis, and padel.

We Care A Lot

We Care A Lot provides a safe, supportive space for anyone seeking non-medical care during the festival weekend. On-site psychologists work in close collaboration with first aid teams, security, and the Care Centre after Sexual Violence, placing professional support within reach throughout the event.

Food at Tomorrowland

Every food stand at Tomorrowland offers at least one vegetarian or vegan option, with restaurants following the same standard. By 2030, the aim is for 70% of food at general admission stands to be vegetarian or vegan. The Love Tomorrow Value Label identifies dishes that are plant-based, made with local ingredients, or prepared using lower-impact practices, helping visitors make informed choices throughout the festival.

Love Tomorrow Value Label

The Love Tomorrow food value label was introduced in 2025 and continues to inform visitors about conscious food choices. The value label identifies dishes that align with Love Tomorrow values: plant-based, made with local ingredients, or prepared using lower-impact practices. A clear visual cue that helps visitors choose food that is good for both themselves and the planet. Dished with the Love Tomorrow Value label are marked by the Love Tomorrow icon.

RESPECT

Inclusion

Last year, together with Inclusie Ambassade, multiple people with disabilities were invited to experience the festival. Based on their feedback, concrete improvements have been put in place to make Tomorrowland more inclusive.

Visitors with a disability, both visible and non-visible, now receive a dedicated bracelet that signals their needs to staff across the site, so support is offered without the need to explain the situation each time.

A separate, fully accessible entrance ensures a smooth arrival, and alternative routes across the grounds make it easier to navigate the festival comfortably. At DreamVille, the Aqua Care zone offers a calm, adapted camping space designed for visitors with disabilities and those who need a quieter environment to rest and recharge.NaviLens codes are placed across the site, allowing visitors with visual impairments to access on-site information independently through their phone.

All practical information is brought together in one clear accessibility page on the Tomorrowland website, with one central form for sharing specific needs in advance, and dedicated contact points on site for any questions during the festival weekend.

Surrounding communities

Love Tomorrow is present at the local Buurtfeest through the Love The Neighbours initiative, reinforcing Tomorrowland's relationship with the communities of Boom and the surrounding area.

These actions form the Love Tomorrow programme at Tomorrowland Belgium 2026. The data gathered this edition informs what comes next.
