Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar joins Love Tomorrow Summit 2026 on 23 July at Tomorrowland in Boom, Belgium.
Intelligence takes many forms. The kind that processes data. The kind that reads a room. The kind that holds a community together through decades of conflict. The kind that knows, before any analysis, what the right thing to do is.
Love Tomorrow Summit 2026 explores all of them. Under the theme The Future of Intelligence, the programme brings together thinkers, leaders, scientists and artists to examine what intelligence means across its full range: artificial, natural, collective and inner.
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar speaks to the last of those. And he has been doing so, with measurable results, for over 45 years.
Meditation as Technology
Long before meditation entered hospital corridors and corporate wellness programmes, Gurudev was making a specific claim: that the human mind, given the right technique, can access a dimension of intelligence that no amount of external data can replicate. He called it inner intelligence. He spent decades building the tools to reach it.
The technique he introduced, SKY Breath Meditation (Sudarshan Kriya), is now one of the most studied breathwork practices in the world. Over 189 independent studies from institutions including Yale, Harvard, Stanford and Cambridge document its effects: reductions in stress and anxiety of 20 to 50 per cent within days. Reductions in PTSD symptoms of up to 53 per cent. Measurable improvements in sleep quality, focus, emotional regulation and physiological markers from heart rate to cholesterol. It is now used in schools, hospitals, prisons, veteran programmes and police departments across 182 countries.
This is not a spiritual claim. It is a measurable one.
SKY Breath Meditation does not ask for belief. It asks for a breath. What follows has been documented by some of the world's most rigorous scientific institutions. In Gurudev's framing, meditation is humanity's oldest technology for accessing deeper dimensions of intelligence: refining perception and expanding human potential beyond information alone.
Where Diplomacy Reached Its Limit
When governments exhaust their options, they sometimes call Gurudev.
He contributed to the reconciliation process following Colombia's 52-year civil war, working alongside FARC leadership during the ceasefire period. In Iraq, he facilitated dialogue between Shia, Sunni and Kurdish leaders, and led trauma-relief work with Yazidi survivors. In Sri Lanka, post-war reconciliation. In Côte d'Ivoire, he brought violent youth factions to the same table. In Ayodhya, the Indian Supreme Court appointed him mediator in a 500-year religious dispute.
The scale of the work is difficult to compress into a single sentence. Art of Living programmes have reached more than 1 billion people across 182 countries. In Washington D.C., Gurudev led one of the largest meditations in history: 1.1 million people gathered from 156 countries. At United Nations headquarters on World Meditation Day, he set a Guinness World Record: 12 million people meditating together online simultaneously.
The thread connecting all of it is a single principle Gurudev has held since the beginning: individual transformation is the seed of societal transformation. Inner peace is not separate from global peace. It is its foundation.
Not as a metaphor. As a methodology.
Why This Belongs at the Summit
The question Love Tomorrow Summit 2026 is built to explore is not simply what technology can do. It is what intelligence, in all its forms, asks of us. How leaders decide. Where wisdom comes from. What clarity looks like when the pace of change outstrips the capacity to process it.
Gurudev's contribution to that conversation is grounded in four decades of documented impact. His work shows that consciousness is not a soft concept. It is a capacity that can be trained, measured and applied at scale, in classrooms and conflict zones alike. As artificial intelligence expands what machines can do, his message turns attention toward what human beings can become with the intelligence they already carry.
On 23 July 2026, he brings that body of work to Tomorrowland.
