Lieven De Marez is Professor of Media, Technology & Innovation at Ghent University and Scientific Director at imec. From that intersection he played a key role in establishing the Media & Entertainment (ENTA) spearhead cluster and the Stage Tech Flanders initiative. At imec he stays close to the technology roadmaps and innovations shaping tomorrow, while as a social scientist he reads the digitalising pulse of people and society today. His Digimeter research and panel has grown into the reference framework for staying in touch with a digitalising society in Flanders, a much-needed compass for continuously aligning technological possibility with what is socially desirable and responsible. At Love Tomorrow Summit, his keynote Challenges and opportunities for entertainment technology in the experience economy extends this work to the stage.
