Jeoffrey Schouten is professor of gastroenterology at Ghent University Hospital and VITAZ. He trained at Antwerp University Hospital and spent five years at the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam, with a PhD focused on vascular liver disorders. His clinical expertise spans general hepatology, alcoholic liver disorders, and abdominal ultrasound. Beyond the clinic, he is leading a Belgian awareness campaign on the hazards of alcohol use, with a particular focus on young adults, translating frontline clinical insight into public health action. His keynote at Love Tomorrow Summit, Alcohol, friend or foe, extends that work.
