Ilke Geleyn is a sustainability-driven professional with a passion for empowering the next generation to shape a better world. As a member of VITO's Young Advisory Board, she brings young voices directly into strategic conversations on innovation, climate action and societal impact. With an academic background in business engineering and climate and energy, and international experience across research, policy and innovation, she understands both the urgency of today's challenges and the potential of young talent. As Programme Manager of VITO4Starters, she works closely with early-career researchers and beginning entrepreneurs, helping them turn curiosity and ambition into real-world impact. She is driven by the belief that sustainable transformation is not only about technology or policy, but about people feeling seen, supported and confident enough to lead change together.
