
Filippo Veglio is Chief of Social & Environmental Sustainability at UEFA, European football's governing body. He leads a team pursuing UEFA's mission of inspiring, activating and accelerating collective action across European football, with a particular focus on social impact, respect for the environment and responsible event and infrastructure management. Guided by the UEFA Football Sustainability Strategy 2030, the work is built on collaboration with member associations, leagues, clubs, sponsors and partners to drive long-term value creation. Before joining UEFA in 2021 he spent 16 years at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), a CEO-led community of 200 global businesses, where he was part of the senior management team. He holds a master's degree in international relations from the Graduate Institute in Geneva. A Swiss national, he is also a former professional tennis player.
