
Eoghan O'Neill is a Senior Policy Officer at the European Commission, working in the EU's AI Office, which oversees the regulatory and non-regulatory actions shaping how Europe approaches artificial intelligence. With more than 20 years at the Commission shaping EU innovation and digital policy, he previously sat on the enforcement team for the Digital Markets Act and Digital Services Act. He is a strong advocate of Europe's often underappreciated strengths in cutting-edge technologies such as AI. He is also unafraid to set out the societal and economic benefits of the EU's approach to regulating digital tech.
