Aurélie Boffé is a social media journalist and news anchor at VRT NWS, Belgium's public broadcaster. She began her career in 2019 on VRT's social media team, pioneering new ways to reach younger audiences with the news. In 2021, she launched the podcast Snapt ge mij nu?, creating space for honest conversations between twentysomethings about the news shaping their lives — earning a Belfius Press Prize that same year. She returned to social media in 2023 as one of the faces of VRT NWS on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. In 2024, she covered Belgium's national and local elections live across two 14-hour television marathons. That same year she became a news anchor on the late-night programme Laat, a hybrid between a news bulletin and a talk show. With one foot in social media and one in late-night television, she is always driven by the same mission: to offer a clear, accessible window on the world so everyone can understand what's at stake.
