Amara Gabriëla van der Elst is a versatile performing artist who, through her reflective art, uses the spotlight to spread light. She challenges people to discover the power in their voices and to set it free — because harmony only exists where different voices come together. She conveys this message through spoken word, dance, music, theater, and film. Since her recitation at the 2021 National Remembrance Day ceremony, Amara has written and performed the narrative lead role in the groundbreaking opera production Ändere die Welt!. She has created productions with jazz bands and classical orchestras, and continues to perform on stages from Haarlem to Houston, from Barcelona to Berlin.
