Alexandre Mottrie is a consultant urological surgeon, Head of the Urology Department at Aalst's Azorg Hospital, and founder and CEO of ORSI-Academy, a leading European centre for training in robotic and minimally invasive surgery. A pioneer in the field, he began performing robotic surgeries in 2001 and has since completed thousands of procedures, training countless surgeons across Europe and worldwide. He is the founder and past-president of the EAU Robotic Urology Section, co-founder of the Society of Robotic Surgeons, and has received the Golden Telescope Award, John Wickham Award, and QNX Surgical Robotics Industry Leadership Award for lifetime achievement.
