Alex Bakir is a tech operator-turned-investor at Norrsken Evolve, a €60M early-stage European VC fund backing founding teams building solutions to our most pressing challenges. He spent ten years in Silicon Valley, including investing as part of the Omidyar Network and five years as VP Product for the space-technology company Planet Labs, which IPO'd in 2021. Earlier he deployed capital into sustainability and climate tech at the $1B London fund Climate Change Capital, and built Rewire, a digital bank for migrants that was sold to Remitly in 2022. He studied Geography at Cambridge and International Relations at Johns Hopkins University (SAIS), and holds an MBA from Stanford.
