What does it actually take to go from seeing a problem to solving it? Vinita Saraf left a 25-year career to found Ek Tara in the slum communities of West Bengal, with a conviction that every child deserves to discover their own voice through DJ-ing, music, dance and performance, not just reading and writing.
The Tomorrowland Foundation builds on exactly that idea, supporting vulnerable children through education, creativity and personal development. Together with Ek Tara, the Foundation helped build a 7,000 square foot Music and Arts School inside one of Kolkata's largest slum communities, giving girls and young women access to music, dance, arts and theatre as tools for growth and self-determination.
